Playing Spades is a story that surrounds Islande Evens, one of the main characters of the DRAMA, MAYHEM & TROUBLE series. She jumps from the pages to the big screen in ways that her audience has been waiting for. Excitement, pain, devotion, love, anger and of course, a few heaping spoonfuls of bittersweet drama is delivered fashionably hot, yet surprisingly cool.  

At first glance you'll notice that Islande's a beautifully tall and shapely young woman. This self-motivated career girl sets out into the world to conquer the music-video industry. The journey begins in the city of New York and Islande arrives equipped with talent, education and focus. Her love for house parties, spontaneous adventures and passionate encounters are what makes Islande's character so intriguing.

About GATe WAY Entertainment

A girl from around the way creates a world of girls from around the way, through writing novels, providing lyrics over audio beats, cinema exploration and creating a t-shirt line called Positive Statement Streetwear. What began as a pure and simple idea to represent women of color in a bold, beautiful and sensual manner, became a multimedia excursion appropriately called GATe WAY (Girls Around The Way) because it's all entertainment.

Each creative endeavor is the brainchild of award winning screenwriter and best-selling author, Deardria Nesbitt. GATe WAY Entertainment addresses stories about beautiful women living powerful lifestyles. Their colorful lives are wondrously written about love, lust, power and vulnerability. About Orphan's Nest Productions

Simply stated, Orphan's Nest Productions (ONP) is a grass roots start up company founded by Evelyn Lynch. ONP's goal is to utilize artistic ideas by repackaging them in order to create new perspectives for current and future customers. ONP is hands on and works directly with writers, painters, photographers, filmmakers and other media artists. Orphan's Nest Productions is a think tank for a plethora of ideas.
