 Islande Evans (portrayed by Tonya
Fore-Holston) is
a sexy/chic, tall, overly confident and sometimes mildly abrasive, beautifully
feminine ride or die chick.
Arrogant at times. She is modestly affluent and spoiled. Wants what
she wants when she wants it. She goes to L.A. for a job with a major
record label as a Product and Development Manager. After catching
her girlfriend screwing an anonymous guy, Islande hardens her shell, becomes
a player when she arrives in California. Everyone wants her
and she's loving every minute of the attention. She is Cheyanta's
best friend although she is madly in love with her. |
 CheyAnta
Edwards (portrayed
by Carol Warrick) is a business casual stunningly chic, tall, smooth-mannered
and confident, former basketball all-star with a powerful presence. Although
she is already a millionaire, she heads the Black Music Division at a top
independent record label in NYC. When she walks into a room she
commands attention even though she is extremely humble. She's a
smoldering beauty with an intriguing sex appeal. She's cocky about
her professional status, but not conceited about her looks. She
and Islande are best friends although she is madly in love with her. |
 Alexis Beckwith (portrayed
by Natasha Robb) is a casual/sexy, NYU
graduate student/photographer. She is curious about the lifestyle and
CheyAnta. She is confused between her abusive boyfriend and kind
and giving CheyAnta. She is extremely attractive and a funky dresser.
She is completely in denial regarding her feelings for another woman.
She is best friends with Pam Warner. |
 Pam Warner (portrayed by Sakon Himiede
Wilson) is a casual/sexy young
woman finishing law school at Columbia University. Her best friend
is Alexis Beckwith. Although
she is truly in love with Islande, her first female relationship, she
is forced to playing head games with Islande by an unknown source until
she gets caught. She's guilty of sleepy on both sides of the bed. |
 Sean (portrayed by Tracy Johnson) is the new girl on the block, Hottie,
who steps
into a world she not only hears about, but lives vicariously through
her gay female friend, Michelle. She loses all reservations about
everything when she meets up with Islande at a party. Her sexual curiosity
and apetite give her the desire to do anything to get Islande's attention;
even take off her clothes right in front of everybody. |
 Simone (portrayed by Teneisha Campbell) is Islande's spunky cousin who is a Los Angeles
native. She
always has something sassy to say as she finds herself introducing Islande
onto the L.A. womyn's party scene. Simone is a gangster femme,
who gets caught up in her Islande's lavish lifestyle and goes along for
the ride. |
 Michelle (portrayed by
Carmelle McGill) is Sean's friend. She tries to school
Sean on the intensely intriguing lesbian world, and warns her about getting
involved with someone like Islande. |
